Assistant Principal
Welcome Message
Dear Eagles,
It is with great pleasure that I return for my second year as Assistant Principal of Mesa View Middle School for the 2025–2026 school year. Our school has a proud reputation for academic excellence, rigorous instruction, and a vibrant learning community, and I am honored to continue being part of it.
This year marks my 29th year serving in the Ocean View School District. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of teaching students from kindergarten through eighth grade, including a few years as a 7th- and 8th-grade English Language Arts teacher. These experiences have deepened my understanding of student needs at every level and strengthened my commitment to fostering a safe, supportive, and engaging school environment.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies and a Master’s Degree in Education, with an emphasis in teaching reading. As a proud Eagle, I am dedicated to promoting the care, welfare, and safety of all students while supporting a collaborative learning culture for both staff and families.
My family of five lives in Huntington Beach, and we love being active members of the local community. We enjoy summer concerts at Central Park, horseback riding at the HB Central Park Equestrian Center, and beach days at Dog Beach with our two dogs. You can often find us biking along the coast or attending community events around town. We also love supporting Marina High School, where one of our children is a proud member of the band. Living and working in this community is a true blessing, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve the students and families of Mesa View Middle School.
Being part of the Mesa View family is truly a joy, and I look forward to partnering with you to support student growth, character development, and academic success throughout the year. We are deeply committed to our core values—the 3 R’s: being Respectful, Responsible, and Reflective. These guiding principles help shape a positive and productive learning environment for all learners.
One of my proudest moments from last year was building meaningful connections with students and celebrating their successes. Making positive phone calls home was a highlight; sharing those moments of joy and pride with families helped reinforce the strong partnership we value so much within our community.
As we look ahead to the 2025–2026 school year, I am especially eager to continue building on the strong foundation we’ve established. I look forward to supporting exciting programs, such as our new Dual Language Immersion initiative, and working alongside students, staff, and families to ensure that every learner continues to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Together, we will carry forward the values that define who we are: Respectful, Responsible, and Reflective.
